Karol's second book, The Harriet Tubman Way, An Inspirational Guide to Self-Love, Empowerment and Legendary Leadership for Girls, includes lessons in self-love and empowerment addressing the lack if books giving girls a "shero" and a plan towards their own legendary stories. Karol is also an actor and storyteller. Karol started portraying Harriet in 1999. She has shared Harriet Tubman's stories as a jovial endearing elderly Aunt Harriet. In schools, libraries, and other locations, Karol brings audiences As Close to Meeting Harriet Tubman as You Will Ever Be. Karol wrote the screenplay and performed in the movie, Harriet Tubman, Love In Action, released in 2022. Karol works as a Teaching Artist and Keynote speaker in schools and feels that Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is important. Each of her projects includes SEL lessons people can learn as they learn about Harriet Tubman. Karol has a BS degree in Nutrition from the University of Dayton, OH, and a Master's Degree in public health, Health Promotions, and Disease Prevention from Loma Linda University, CA.
