The vision for Norming Imperative started as Doctor Welch noticed the extreme variations in the habits and activities of Americans as they experienced extreme changes in political norms over the past two decades. Born just before World War II, he witnessed and remembered the transitions in attitudes and actions of Americans as the norms of its citizens varied widely with differing presidents and changing societal norms.
