David J. Valleskey served as a parish pastor for 23 years before serving at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, WI) for 20 years as professor of New Testament and Pastoral Theology and also as president for eight of those years. His years of teaching seminary classes on the pastoral epistles, encouragement from students and colleagues, love for those serving in the full-time ministry, and a love for God's people brought about this commentary.
