Saltz, Michael: - "Michael Saltz, a winner of an Emmy and other awards, was a senior producer with PBS's The MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour. Beginning with its first iteration in 1974, he retired from The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer in 2009, months before it changed to the PBS NewsHour. In 40+ years in the industry, Saltz was involved in practically every area of TV public affairs as a producer, director, editor, and production manager. Nowadays, he spends his time writing, reading, and doing whatever retired people do at his home in upstate New York, accompanied by his wife and dog.
