Sara works for a logging company and has deep ties to her timber harvesting community. When she starts hearing the trees talk, Sara discovers that some of the people she once called family will go to huge lengths to keep her quiet.

Maxine just graduated from college and is out traveling in her van trying to figure out what to do next. She discovers a notebook that Sara hid away. Through Sara's journal, Maxine discovers a world she didn't know existed. An underground world where people float and trees talk, one that few of us know, yet it flourishes close by.
