Melissa ajunge în casa bunicii ei decedate pentru a o goli de gunoaiele adunate de zeci de ani. Dar printre nenumăratele nimicuri acumulate, găsește un jurnal al bunicului ei, mort și el de mulți ani, și până să-și dea seama dacă scrierile lui sunt doar rezultatul demenței sau ceva mai serios, trebuie să se confrunte cu entități animate prin magie care dau târcoale casei. Iar de aici, situația degenerează și mai rău…
Unul dintre cele mai bune romane horror pe care am avut ocazia să le citesc.
