She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband. Sally and her husband have four adult children and eight grand-children. Her family has lived in many places around the world including Nairobi, Kenya. Sally founded a primary school in Kenya, The Rainbow School, in 2006. Sally travels often to Kenya to visit and teach her students. Sally enjoys outdoor activities, reading, sewing/quilting, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
