When a dead Dragonblood elf with a threatening note appears at Castle Skeletonia and Faye, queen of the Dragonblood tribe, goes missing, Tristan knows who's to blame. As the wizards go to rescue their friend and ally, he finds the motive delves deeper than simply abducting a political figure. Malice intends to control the most powerful creatures in the Haunted Lands: dragons.
Tristan and his friends must travel to the Dragon Isles and amass a dragon army of their own, despite the political turmoil between the tribes. In addition to the hordes of dragon-riding zombies, the Cadre looms closer, knowing magic has resurfaced. Tristan must choose. Will he risk revealing himself as a wizard or hide and watch his home collapse in flames?
