Relationships are riddled with challenges. Our own selfishness sabotages our most noble efforts to love others. Our tendency towards rigid legalism inhibits our ability to receive and extend grace. When we've been deeply hurt by others, forgiveness feels like the hardest thing in the world. Compassion is an afterthought when human beings are reduced to political issues and talking points. Yet, Jesus modeled a radical way of self-giving love that was expressed through acts of scandalous grace, irrational forgiveness, and fierce compassion. And, He calls us to embrace this way of self-giving love. Acts of Defiance explores what it looks like for the heart to be transformed so that it goes against its natural, self-centered way of life. Anthony is a husband, dad, and pastor. He graduated from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University in December 2017 with a Masters of Divinity. Anthony serves as the Lead Pastor at LifePoint Church in Goshen, Indiana and co-hosts the podcast Theologizing Life. He enjoys sharing life with his wife, Emily, as they navigate the beautiful messiness of parenting their two kids.
