My Favorite Shoes is the story of a young girl in foster care struggling with her own self worth, until she finds herself in a home that makes her feel valued and loved, just like everyone of her peers.

Shoes are a big part of our everyday lives, and something we often take for granted. While many people donate toys and blankets to those in need, things like shoes can often go overlooked, leaving kids with donations of secondhand, scuffed up shoes that are too small and too worn to do them any good. Author Coral Hayward saw this first hand through her work with Foster Care, including her adopted siblings.

That's why she wrote My Favorite Shoes, to shine a light on a life experience not often put front and center, and to help kids get shoes. 10% of sales proceeds of My Favorite Shoes are donated to get new shoes to kids in foster care, because every kid deserves to feel special and loved.
