Doctor Henry Williams and his lab partner, Doctor Jamie Winchester, are research scientists at a University studying Pareidolia, the phenomenon of seeing patterns, shapes, and faces in everyday objects.

When Henry finds out that one of the participants in their study, Marjorie, may have the onset of Alzheimer's Disease, the potential benefits this could have on the outcome of his research is irresistible. This is the start of a journey for Henry, Jamie, and Marjorie that will change their lives dramatically.

Henry starts conducting his research in Marjorie's home, but things start to go strangely wrong. Jamie Winchester steps in to help and quickly develops a strong, close relationship with Marjorie while Henry goes through a fundamental personal change and also builds strong relationships with both.

These relationships are going to be the key to help them deal with the strange and extremely dangerous situations they find themselves in as they face monsters, beings from another world, and government agents. Will they survive? Will they be able to solve the puzzles before them? And will Pareidolia be the solution, or the cause of their destruction?
