You will be introduced to Joseph Owen Luby, Sr., my father, and a founding partner of Luby's who was instrumental in laying the foundation for growth that helped Luby's grow into one of the most revered food service establishments of the 20^th century.

Harry Luby, who was my cousin, united Luby family members and provided them with an opportunity to build successful lives. The story beings in Illinois when Harry, who had lost his father at the age of four, teamed up with his cousin, my uncle, both of whom had tremendous entrepreneurial spirits. The two of them would eventually move to Dallas, Texas, where the story would spring to life, and the company roots would be established.
