Alongside her faithful puppy Appa, Elise, the tiny person and heroine of our story, helps her sister's music bandmates sort our band practice when their beloved music teacher, Mrs. Winnie is out sick.

Band practice is quite important, as the band is preparing a very special recital for Mother's Day; so with Appa's mentoring and cheering, Elise, the youngest in the group, musters up her courage and steps up as the mighty leader every tiny person has inside, to guide the band, as she's seen Mrs. Winnie does it many many times.

The authors, Maria Aguirre, a leadership author, coach and educator and her 5-year old granddaughter Bella, poured their love for leadership into this fun and educational story about the importance of leading with courage and helping others along the way.

After all, leaders come in all shapes and sizes, and we are never too small or too young to make a positive impact in someone else's life. As co-author Bella Pujol firmly believes, "to be a leader, you must be brave and you must behave".
